At haus. by bjc. we believe that good design has a powerful impact on productivity, happiness, and overall well-being - the essence of real-life luxury.
Integrity is at the heart of all we do.
Cultivating transparent and collaborative relationships with clients and our teams of artisans is vital to us. Our interior design practice is rooted in a deep respect for aesthetic tradition and dedicated to creating contemporary, functional spaces that bring your stories to life.
Based in a historic brownstone in the culturally-rich neighborhood of Harlem, haus. by bjc. serves our clients wherever their projects take us.
Miriam Biolek-Jones (LEED AP, Allied ASID) and Sharon Crockett (Allied ASID) originally met at Parsons The New School for Design. After working for other design and architectural firms, they founded haus. by bjc., merging their common interests and a complementary set of skills earned in their previous professions.
With an MBA from Columbia University, Sharon applied the business acumen she earned in finance and banking to design and restoration. She has a passion for historic interiors and design research.
Miriam, who earned her MA in Art History and Romance Literature from the universities of Vienna, Austria and Freiburg, Germany, has cultivated a broad cultural palette and an abiding interest in antiques. Her approach to managing large-scale projects and her interpersonal skills both derive from a career in arts management and touring internationally acclaimed orchestras.
